Pengaruh dosis iradiasi sinar gamma pada pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman meniran phyllanthus niruri linn.



Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri Linn.) is used as a medicine for various diseases because of its active phytochemicals. In order to increase the quality and quantity of meniran plants, it is necessary to carry out plant breeding through mutation induction with gamma ray irradiation. The research was conducted to determine the effect of gamma ray irradiation on the vegetative growth of M1 generation meniran plants and to determine the optimal LD50 dose that can be used to increase the genetic diversity of meniran. The research uses single factor RAL. There were 11 irradiation dose treatments with 20 repetitions in each treatment. The irradiation doses used in the study were 0 Gy (control), 50 Gy, 100 Gy, 150 Gy, 200 Gy, 250 Gy, 300 Gy, 350 Gy, 400 Gy, 450 Gy and 500 Gy. The results of curve fit analysis on meniran sprouts show the equation Y = 6.7279 + -9.5085x + -6.3181x2 + 2.5283x3, s = 1.7001 and r = 0.9977 to produce an LD50 of meniran of 275 Gy. The DMRT test results stated that the highest average height of meniran was at 200 Gy (50.82 cm), the highest number of compound leaves was at 200 Gy (55.55) and there were several changes in shape in the leaves, the highest number of nodes at 200 Gy (31.98). , the highest internodes at 200 Gy (21.21), the highest side shoots at 500 Gy treatment (1.27) and the largest stem diameter at 450 Gy (2.36).
