ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ANALSYSIS HAND BOOK: HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN RUMPIN WEST JAVA The unspoiled mountainous area, especially the Rumpin mountains, North Bogor, the border of West Java Province and Banten Province, is one area that must be protected in a sustainable manner. Although according to the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) document, the Rumpin mountains are designated as Excavation C areas for mining, but the conversion of the Rumpin mountain lands for mining and housing activities that do not pay attention to environmental aspects will have a negative impact on various components of the physical, chemical environment. , biology, culture, defense and security, as well as the social economy of the surrounding community. The discussion of the book from the point of view of real data in the study area is important to be presented in a reference book. It is hoped that this book will provide input for relevant stakeholders in structuring the North Bogor Rumpin Mountains bordering the Provinces of West Java and Banten to prioritize environmental aspects in the regional development plan. Focusing emphasis on economic aspects that every development activity generates maximum profit is no longer relevant at a time when environmental conditions are decreasing in quality and quantity in Indonesia, especially in the Rumpin Mountains, North Bogor. The presentation of the book with the theme of AMDAL is presented in several chapters which emphasize the background of the business that has been and continues to be developed in this region to support national development. However, such development must comply with government programs, namely sustainable and environmentally sound development programs. In line with the increasing development in all sectors, the need for adequate housing on a large scale also increases. The plan to convert Rumpin's land into large-scale housing is predicted to change the existing landscape. With the housing development plan in the Rumpin mountains, it is feared that there will be changes in the environmental impacts that have been previously studied and compiled so that it is necessary to anticipate the possibility of new impacts in line with changes in the surrounding environment. 10 Based on Law Number 12 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management and in an effort to minimize the possibility of the above negative impacts, as well as the realization of Government Regulation Number 27 of 2012 concerning Environmental Permits Article 50 paragraph (1) that the person in charge of business and/or or an activity that has obtained an Environmental Permit is planned for changes, then the settlement development company is obliged to prepare an AMDAL document with other documents as accompanying documents. The preparation of the AMDAL document for the Rumpin Area Settlement refers to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment Number 16 of 2012 concerning the Preparation of Environmental Documents. This AMDAL study approach is a single approach with the authority for the assessment in accordance with the Minister of Environment Regulation No. 8 of 2013 (Appendix II) at the AMDAL Assessment Commission (KPA) of the Regional Environmental Management Agency. West Java Province and Banten Province.
