Pengaruh penambahan co2 dalam sistem fotobioreaktor luar ruangan dan pengaruhnya terhadap total nitrogen (tn) serta pigmen pada spirulina plantesis
Spirulina platensis is a blue-green microalgae that has several important active compounds, one of which is phycocyanin, which has the potential to become an alternative functional food source in the current food and nutrition crisis. However, not much research has been done on the Spirulina plantesis culture system. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the outdoor photobioreactor system with the effect of CO2 addition in the growth culture of Spirulina plantesis. The stages of this research began with the manufacture of outdoor photobioreactors that play a role in cultivating Spirulina plantesis. Based on the T statistical test of the effect of the addition of 1% CO2 with atmospheric CO2 in affecting the performance of outdoor photobioreactors to cultivate Spirulina plantesis with the t value of the analysis of TNmedium; TNbiomass; Chlorophyll; Carotene; and Phycocyanine respectively 0.621; 0.105; 0.254; 0.619 and 0.056. The t value of total nitrogen and pigment analysis is smaller than the t table of 2.056 so it can be concluded that 1% CO2 and atmospheric CO2 in cultivating Spirulina plantesis are the same or there is no difference between the two CO2 variations.
